1. Un-Mute all channels.
2. Bring all faders to Unity (0).
3. Ensure all Line In’s (grey buttons in back of board) are UP.
Line In: Chooses between Line level signal or Mic level signal.
Line level signal = A round quarter inch metal plug.
Mic level signal = A thick round plug typically seen plugged into mic’s.
We want the Mic level signal, so we want the “Line In” Buttons UP.
4. Put a Blank CD / Tape in their respective recorders.
5. Press Record on both the Tape and CD (this will arm the Tape and CD so you can see the signal, but will not record until you press play).
Note: The CD player will un-arm itself after 10 minutes of being idle (in which case you simply press record again).
6. If service has not begun (it shouldn’t have because you should be here at least 10 minutes early), start printing CD’s (12X).
To Retrieve Service Title: On desktop, look for the folder “SERVICE TITLES” and double click to open (do not get this confused with “CD SERVICE TITLES”).
Inside this folder will reside a dated document with the corresponding service title.
7. If service has already begun (make sure mix sounds decent first, then) adjust signal first on CD to Unity, then adjust signal on Tape to Unity.
8. After both signals (Tape and CD) are at unity, remember what number the “Analog REC level” on the CD is at. Then, turn down the “Analog REC level” on the CD recorder off.
9. Ensure both Tape and CD are in Record mode, then, press Play on both. Fade in the “Analog REC level” on the CD recorder slowly back to remembered position, both the CD and Tape levels will now have faded in to the optimal previous set level.
10. You are now recording! Make it sound good (lots of soloing)!
DON’T FORGET!
- 2 Masters in each black master folder (Both printed on!).
- 10 Tapes printed with labels
- 12X CD’s printed with labels
